ΠΡΩΙΝΟ ΓΙΑ ΠΟΙΗΣΗ

 

Ο ήλιος μπήκε απ’ το παράθυρο.

Η γυναίκα κοιμάται ακόμη.

Ονόματα νησιών τρέμουν στους τοίχους—

λόφοι μικροί, ένα άλογο, ένα δέντρο,

μια καρέκλα δεμένη με σπάγκο.

MORNING FOR POETRY

 

The sun enters through the window.

The woman is still asleep.

Names of islands shiver on the walls –

small hills, one horse, one tree,

a chair tied by a string.
