George Seferis-Collected Poems 05/25/2022vequinox Μυθιστόρημα/Mythistorema ΙΓ´ὝδραΔελφίνια φλάμπουρα καὶ κανονιές.Τὸ πέλαγο τόσο πικρὸ γιὰ τὴν ψυχή σου κάποτε,σήκωνε τὰ πολύχρωμα κι ἀστραφτερὰ καράβιαλύγιζε, τὰ κλυδώνιζε κι ὅλο μαβὶ μ᾿ ἄσπρα φτερά,τόσο πικρὸ γιὰ τὴν ψυχή σου κάποτετώρα γεμάτο χρώματα στὸν ἥλιο.Ἄσπρα πανιὰ καὶ φῶς καὶ τὰ κουπιὰ τὰ ὑγρὰχτυποῦσαν μὲ ρυθμὸ τυμπάνου ἕνα ἡμερωμένο κύμα.Θὰ ἦταν ὡραῖα τὰ μάτια σου νὰ κοίταζανθὰ ἦταν λαμπρὰ τὰ χέρια σου ν᾿ ἀπλώνουντανθὰ ἦταν σὰν ἄλλοτε ζωηρὰ τὰ χείλια σουμπρὸς σ᾿ ἕνα τέτοιο θάματὸ γύρευες τί γύρευες μπροστὰ στὴ στάχτηἢ μέσα στὴ βροχὴ στὴν καταχνιὰ στὸν ἄνεμο,τὴν ὥρα ἀκόμη ποὺ χαλάρωναν τὰ φῶτακι ἡ πολιτεία βύθιζε κι ἀπὸ τὶς πλάκεςσοῦ ῾δειχνε τὴν καρδιά του ὁ Ναζωραῖος,τί γύρευες; γιατί δὲν ἔρχεσαι; τί γύρευες;XIIIHydraDolphins, banners and cannon shots.The pelagos once so bitter for your soulcarried the multi-coloured and glittering shipsit swayed, rolled and pitched them, totally blue with white wingsonce so bitter for your soulnow full of colours in the sun.
