Introspection

Alpha
I summoned my blind Destiny
stirring onto the rose petals
between the tone of my voice
and the dream of the hungry man
causeless as I was
the child and the pain of my mother
redness of the grapes
laughter of moonshine drinking
on the first day of September
and the cicadas had already
fulfilled the purpose
of their annual goal
I summoned my blind Destiny
sauntering over unused chords and
over myths that burdened my memory
at the end of summer that
brought tears to my eyes
when I sensed my transition
toward that holy, opposite shore
the lightness that reigns
where I was meant to stand as
vigilant beacon guarding our love
